After a fixed period of 20 years in our space in Vila Madalena, São Paulo, in 2020 we started a nomadic phase. We will look for new concepts, materials and experiences in different places. The result of these new paths, products, special developments, new perspectives, we will present on this site and on social networks.

brief history

For 20 years (1999-2019) the Estudio Manus space has been a reference in Vila Madalena, featuring a mix of studio and gallery, with unique objects, exhibited along with the line of pieces made in limited series produced in partnership with small industries and artisans. . Also a selection of rare, curious, ancient and ethnic objects make up our small universe in a contemporary version of a 'Curiosity Cabinet'.

From 2020, with the nomadic creation project, we dedicated ourselves to the research and development of special editions in different cities of Brazil and countries, in paths and new paths that can be followed by our social networks.

“ESTUDIO MANUS” walks a path between Design and Art. Since 1999, Daniela Scorza and Caio de Medeiros F., partners in life and work, have created objects, furniture, interiors and scenography, with the important help of partners where art, design, poetry and crafts interact.

With objects, lamps and furniture edited in small series or created as unique pieces, as well as works with interior architecture, scenography and environments with a strong conceptual load, Estudio Manus seeks timeless and simple, clean and elegant, poetic and playful results.

Relevant characteristics are the reuse and rereading of existing forms and the research and valorization of artisanal and traditional techniques.

Throughout its existence, Estudio Manus has had a large participation in exhibitions and exhibitions of design and art in Brazil and abroad, such as in Talents à la Carte at Maison & Objet / Paris 2005; Le Point Prix Découverte Award at the Design Now! Paris 2006 Salon; pieces selected to be part of the MoMa Store NY collection; Exhibition ‘Brazilian Design Today: Borders’, MAM SP 2009 with collection in MAM SP; Exhibition “+ (55) Brazil” at Civic Gallery in Barnsley, England 2011; Exhibition “Borders” at Palazzo Giureconsulti in Milan 2012, “Brazilian Modern” at Galeria Ampersand House, Brussels 2012, Galeria Tokonoma Buenos Aires 2016 among others.
