Casa Alva
The space was conceived by the architects as an ethereal, soft, clear and welcoming place. The artworks we created for this project cohere with this concept. A small character in traditional Danish porcelain perches on a segment of tree trunk, on it hangs a large white flower, he spies it. In a niche similar to a small cave two blue geese in French opaline talk and fall in love. Book-like volumes in rough clay rest on a shelf, anchored by another small, delicate porcelain figure and by crude gears of rusty metal that contrast with such lightness. From a cone or volcano in amber paraffin emerges a red sphere, reminiscent of a clown's nose that could be there denying so much softness and lightness.
