To Be Tobe
Exhibition design at Japan House São Paulo for the “To Be Tobe” exhibition, a cultural, technical and commercial exchange project between Brazil and Japan, specifically the city of Tobe in Ehime Prefecture, bringing together porcelain producers, artists and designers from both countries. For the installation of this exhibition, we used old traditional trays for transporting porcelain from a traditional Brazilian factory, suspended throughout the space by micro steel cables. These long trays made of aged wood held the exhibited pieces, creating an ethereal and delicate atmosphere. Other cultural elements were used to integrate the space, such as noren curtains and kokedama arrangements.
