Earth
The music of the desert is silence.
The rhythm of the mountains’ curves, the sharp angles of the cracked earth, the gentle whispers of the wind.
Sofas are mountains, pouffes are fragments of the ground, tables are dry lakes. For the launch of Decameron’s Terra collection, we created slabs of natural clay in different shades, each with textures, reliefs and details reminiscent of an aerial view of a desert. Using music stands as supports, they interact with the furniture in the collection, accompanied by other elements such as a suspended textile sculpture and a large book covered in clay from which bare branches sprout, reminiscent of the bed of a dry river. In a surrealist touch, a rabbit sculpture watches on, chewing a small glass flower.
